BREACH X 3

Cornwall, ON – John Donais, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on June 26th, 2020 for breach of probation. It is alleged on June 26th, 2020, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, police located the man intoxicated by alcohol, despite the conditions of his probation order. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. On June 27th, 2020, the man was once again located by police while intoxicated, and was charged with two additional counts of breach of probation; one for consuming alcohol and one for failing to keep the peace. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 8th, 2020

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 27th, 2020 and charged with breach of release order for contacting his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged on June 26th, 2020, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On June 27th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 15th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Travis Cook, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on June 27th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between June 15-16, the man took several items belonging to someone known to him, without the victim’s permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 27th, 2020, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 1st, 2020.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Harps, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on June 27th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on June 26th, 2020, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 27th, 2020, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 15th, 2020.

THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 28th, 2020 and charged with uttering threats and failing to comply with his youth probation order. It is alleged on June 28th, 2020, the youth made threats to kill a man known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
