WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Charles Thomas, 21, of Hogansburg, NY was arrested on December 5th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on December 4th, 2018 for dangerously operating a motor vehicle and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 5th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, ROBBERY, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, ADMINISTER NOXIOUS SUBSTANCE, BREACH OF PROHIBITION, INTIMIDATION OF A JUSTICE SYSTEM PARTICIPANT

Cornwall, ON – Taylor Bergeron, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on December 5th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Assault with a weapon
• Robbery
• Unauthorized possession of a weapon
• Administer noxious substance
• Breach of prohibition order
• Intimidation of a justice system participant

It is alleged on September 5th, 2018, Taylor Bergeron attended a Montreal Road business where he demanded money from a clerk and assaulted her using bear spray. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 5th, 2018, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter (see media release for December 5th, 2018). It is alleged during the court proceeding, the man caused a disturbance. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Nancy Hutt, 42, of Plantagenet was arrested on December 5th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 20th, 2018, the woman attended a Brookdale Avenue business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 5th, 2018, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Laurel Kubecki, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on December 5th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for attending a certain address and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 3rd, 2018, the woman attended a certain address, despite her conditions not to do so. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 5th, 2018, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Eric Sisto, 26, of Akwesasne was arrested on December 6th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On December 6th, 2018, the man was stopped at the Port of Entry and police were contacted. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
