November 5th - 11th, 2017

November 5th to the 11th, 2017, has been designated as Crime Prevention Week in Ontario. This special week reminds us that our local police officers are working to ensure our community has a safer tomorrow. This year’s theme “Building Safer Communities Together” will enhance our joint efforts to create safer and stronger communities in Ontario.

During this week Cornwall Community Police Service will be partnering with members of the community in order to deliver important messages about our partnerships. Throughout the week members of the Cornwall Community Police Service will post videos they prepared on the Cornwall Community Police Facebook page in an effort to bring awareness of how partnerships help make Cornwall “ A safer Cornwall, for all to enjoy”. The messages will also show how CCPS along with its partners are taking preventative approaches that help in the reduction of crime. “Crime prevention and Community Policing is what we do,” said S/Sgt Snyder. “We believe that Ontario communities are among the safest in the world. That’s because police partner with community leaders, young people, businesses and government to prevent crime from occurring”. The Cornwall Community Police Service would like to thank all our partners and the public for their assistance in “Public Assistance” notices and the valuable information gathered when our “Wanted Wednesdays” are posted.

Communication between our community members and police has been proven to make a difference in the community and can be measured by the openness the public has towards our officers.

The Cornwall Community Police Service will continue ongoing efforts to help our community by being available for such presentations during the Crime Prevention Week and throughout the year.

A Safer Cornwall, for all to enjoy
