Welcome from the Chief of Police

Welcome to our newly improved and updated web site. I trust that you will find the information contained on this site valuable and informative.

Our Service responds to the needs of our community through a combination of preventative, pro-active and reactive programs, using the philosophy of community policing as our base. This concept embodies the idea that the police and residents work in partnership to find new ways to solve problems in working towards a common goal and our vision of "A Safer Cornwall, for all to enjoy".

We have developed new areas designed to assist you in taking down crime. We also have several one and two page fact sheets on a variety of crime prevention topics offering advice on how to lessen your chances of becoming a victim of a crime.

Taking crime down and crime prevention are high on the list of priorities. Members of our Crime Reduction and Community Partnerships Division are actively engaged in presentations and displays to many community groups and organizations in order to educate our community on taking down crime.

I invite you to go to the i-Watch page where you will find a community awareness program that we developed. It is designed to help people understand what type of property crime is happening in their neighbourhoods by simply viewing a Crime Alert Map. While there, subscribe to our Newsletter Mailing List to receive periodic updates from the Cornwall Community Police Service. The mailing list has been created in order to help keep the citizens of Cornwall stay up-to-date on current happenings across the city and in their community. This could include a rash of break & enters, vehicle thefts, theft from vehicles or a missing child.

Our Kid's Zone helps answer questions such as; do you know what to do in an emergency? Do you know what to do when you're home alone?

Another interesting section is one offered to teens. On this page you'll find advice on topics such as Protecting Yourself While on the Internet, Bullying and Impaired Driving.

We are proud of our Service and its rich history, with that in mind we have several sections devoted to Our History, Our Services and Our Programs that we provide to our community.

Please re-visit frequently to stay abreast of current policing issues, events, crime statistics, crime alerts and the many news items that may be of interest to you.

The Cornwall Community Police Service is constantly adapting to give you the citizens of Cornwall, the quality of policing you deserve.

Let us all work together to create "A safer Cornwall for alto enjoy."
